Hamanasi’s Green Team members engaged in a tree planting activity for Earth Day 2016. The members were all excited in getting their hands dirty to carry out this activity, a total of six fruit trees were planted: 2 star fruit trees also known as Carambola, 1 lime tree, 2 orange trees, and 1 sour sap.
Hamanasi is passionate about the environment, “so we thought it would be a good idea to plant some fruit trees to celebrate Earth Day” said Jackie Gamboa, the Green Teams PR Officer.
A special thanks to Ms. Carianne Johnson from the Pan American Development, who came out to assist the team in this activity.
In a few years we should be eating the sweet fruits of these trees that were planted today, thank you Green Team and thank you Mother Earth!
