Tropical Dreams Wedding Package
Choose the perfect location for your ceremony: by the water, on our private South Beach or perhaps in the garden. Walk down a conch shell aisle with the sand between your toes, gracing a gorgeous bouquet of colorful tropical flowers. Toast your union with fine Champagne under a traditional Belizean wedding arch.

- Personal Wedding Coordinator upon arrival
- Wedding Ceremony conducted by Minister or Justice of the Peace
- Marriage License including all filing, handling, courier and government fees

Considerations for Planning Your Wedding in Belize
- Time of day for ceremony (Suggested time is 3:00 PM for optimum lighting.)
- What will you wear? Remember this is the tropics. Light clothing, simple make-up, insect repellent and non high-heel shoes can make your day much more comfortable.
- Type of ceremony (religious or non denominational)
- Number of guests (do you have witnesses, or do you require Hamanasi to provide?)
- Cake – What type of cake will you want? (Vanilla, Chocolate, Lemon, Carrot or Coconut)
- Will you be having a rehearsal dinner or reception after the ceremony? Do you have any dietary requirements that you need to advise Hamanasi of in advance, e.g., vegetarian, allergies, special diets, etc.?
- Anything that you can tell Hamanasi that will help us make your wedding everything you imagine it to be?
- Private Dinner Setup Location – beach, pool, veranda, or in-room?
- Extras: do you want to add any of our Special Additions to the ceremony?
- Payment: Hamanasi requires an advance deposit of 50% at the time of booking your wedding. Full pre-payment due no later than 45 days prior to arrival. We do not offer refunds for cancellations made less than 45 days prior to arrival.
- Please remember you need to be in Belize at least 4 business days prior to applying for a marriage license. The day of arrival does not count. So it’s best to plan your stay in Belize for at least a week. Longer is definitely better!

Belize Wedding Requirements
The Government of Belize requires that you reside in Belize 4 business days before you can submit your marriage application on the 4th business day. The day of arrival does not count. Holidays and weekends do not count. To ensure a stress free wedding and ensure paperwork comes through, we suggest you plan on staying in Belize a minimum of one week. Once filled, the completed paperwork is ready the following business day. We can facilitate the paperwork for you. You must have two witnesses, either family, friends, hotel guests or staff.
If neither of the parties has been previously married
- Fully completed marriage license application form – Notarized by a Justice of the Peace.
- Photocopy of the front 2 pages of passport and page showing arrival date into Belize. Both of the parties must be in the country 4 business days prior to filing the petition of the license. The day of arrival does not count. We can file the petition on the 4th business day.
- If you are over the age of eighteen (18), no blood test is required and no parental consent is required. Proof of age on your passport or birth certificate is required.
If either or both of the parties has been previously married:
If either or both of the parties is a widow or widower:
- Fully completed marriage license application form – Notarized by a Justice of the Peace.
- Photocopy of front 2 pages of passport and page showing arrival date into Belize.
- Both of the parties must be in the country 4 days prior to filing the petition of the license. The day of arrival does not count.
- Copy of death certificate.
- If you are over the age of eighteen (18), no blood test is required and no parental consent is required. Proof of age on your passport or birth certificate is required.
Notes: Services are conducted by an ordained Minister or Priest or Justice of the Peace. The Minister will conduct the ceremonies in the Hamanasi location you choose and will officiate non-sectarian ceremonies and allow you to write your own vows. Our standard package provides a daytime ceremony in a private beach location. Registry Working day is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM — 5:00 PM. The Registry is not open on statutory holidays.
