Waterfall Rappelling Adventure

Ready for the adrenaline rush of your week? Then waterfall rappelling is for you! Upon arrival to the foothills of the Maya Mountains, you will meet your guides and get a safety briefing followed by equipment fitting. Next is an hour-long strenuous hike up through the rainforest to the top of the 1,000-foot Antelope Falls. Once at the top you'll welcome the opportunity to cool off by taking a swim in the crystal clear waters of a natural pool while the team sets up the ropes.

As soon as the ropes are prepared you get on your knee and elbow pads and get ready to rappel down 500 feet of the falls!  There are two stages to the rappel, the first being the wettest and most slippery, but also the most fun.  The second stage is slightly easier.  There are three guides to help with your descent and ensure fun and safety.  At the bottom, there are high-fives all around!

Nearby are the unexcavated remains of the ancient Mayan city of Mayflower. Archaeologists are still unearthing and piecing together the history of this modest Mayan ruin, which is overgrown by the jungle. Orchids, birds and lush vegetation abound!  This hike is physically challenging!
