Entertainment at Hamanasi

Looking to enjoy a little nightlife? Want to learn more about Belizean culture? While we are secluded and most guests are in bed by 10:00 pm, there are opportunities for night owls to partake in additional entertainment. Garifuna dancers and drummers and other musicians often perform at Hamanasi. They will introduce you to traditional dancing, singing and drumming. By the end of their performance you’ll be trying out your own moves!

Around the Resort

During the day if you are not out on an adventure, explore the area on one of our bikes or try out the waters in one of our sea kayaks or paddle boards off of our private beach. We have a mini reef growing under our dock which is great to snorkel, but watch out! Don’t do it when boats are coming & going.  And, of course, you can mingle with other interesting travelers in Hamanasi’s bar!  In the bar we also have a variety of board games and a chess table. In our library we have a host of documentary films for your viewing. We regularly host local performers in the Singanga dining room and on the veranda outside our great house.  Ask the front desk for the schedule of performances during your stay.

Around Hamanasi

Want to explore beyond the resort grounds?  Check out a free bicycle and you can easily ride into the village of Hopkins where you can meet local artists, enjoy a friendly game of pool or dance to a punta beat. Grab some delicious homemade ice cream at local favorite Nice Cream or check out the Lebeha Drumming Center where you can learn to drum Garifuna style.  Ask the front desk for a list of favorite local establishments.
